The Dorothy Quintana Community Center was completed for the City of Miami. The Community Center provides a place for children and families to gather and provided much-needed jobs to the community during the construction phase. The 9,200 SF facility includes public restrooms, covered terraces, and a playground area to serve the neighborhood activities and summer programs. In addition, the building houses the staff offices of the Park’s Department and the Wynwood/Edgewater Neighborhood Enhancement Team. The project was changed to seek LEED Silver Certification after construction had commenced and ended up being certified LEED Gold.
